Frequently asked questions about the online session
Unfortunately, I do not have a Microsoft account. Can I still participate?
Of course. Once you have registered for the lecture/session, you will receive a participation link by mail. If you are dialing in with a PC, there are two options: You can dial in via your browser or via the Teams app. If you want to dial in as a guest, i.e. without an existing Microsoft account, we recommend dialing in via browser. If you want to log in with an existing Microsoft account, using the Teams app is the appropriate option. If you dial in via a mobile device (tablet or smartphone), you will need to download the app. In the second step, you can choose whether you want to participate as a guest or with an existing Microsoft account.
Is there a browser recommendation for using MS Teams?
We recommend Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome for stable use.
Is there video and audio transmission of me?
You are free to decide whether you want to activate your microphone. A default setting leaves your camera deactivated during the entire event. In some cases it is possible to activate the camera. At the beginning of the online session, the speaker will make a recommendation for the respective presentation in a short technical introduction.
I don´t want my name to appear. Is this possible?
When you register, you decide with which name you will appear in the group room. Of course, this does not have to be your first and last name. It is important that you enter your correct e-mail address so that we can send you the participation link for the event and the presentation afterwards. The transmission of the e-mail address will be treated confidentially according to benefitatwork's privacy policy.
Is there a recording in case I cannot attend?
If you are unable to attend the webinar, we will send all registered users a link to the recording, which can be accessed within the next 7 days. Furthermore, you will receive an e-mail with the presentation documents afterwards.
Will I be sent the documents for the event?
Yes, the presentation documents, if it is an online presentation, will be sent to you as a PDF by e-mail afterwards.
When should I log in?
It is best to dial in two to three minutes before the start of each online event.
